Here we have Toto with pratically all teh species that are considered of sport interest fishing for spearos in the sea of Cortez in this season : yellowtail, snapper, cabrilla and yellow snapper can be catched all in one day still be under the limit of five fishes a day per licence. It is not easy but it can happen!

18 february 2013 winter cabrillas

Strong winds kept us out of the water for few days, back inaction we were pleased to find some nice cabrilla specimens at medium depth in the still quite mirky water.

This fish ( mycteroperca rosacea) also called leopard grouper, is a challanging catch and one of the best tasting one around.

Cold water are rich in oxigen and nutrients this time of the year and if everything is done right spearos can obtain some great catches as Clif and Toto show here. The Mexican law permits a maximum of 5 fishes per person per day but you don't need to get to the limit to have an unforgettable experience and plenty of food for family and friends.
