JUNE 29 / 2012 VISIBILITY IS GETTING BETTER

To all spearos: the visibility is finally getting a little better every day, the temperature is slowly but steadly rising and we have already fairly good conditions around the islands, not perfect, but good enough for some productive spearfishing days.Clearer areas alternate with masses of clorophille rich water so precise guiding is a must to find good hunting grounds for bottom fihes. Every passing day now bring us closer to the beautiful summer conditions we love...geat ready!

June 23, 2012 Hard Day of Fishing

The day started off very slow, few hits, a lot of lost bait!  But then the action got hot and heavy with hits after hits; but, no fish...then Mike and Luis did hook some fish.  Good job!

Jay and Janice June 21,2012

Jay Cappell and Janice Bowen had a great time fishing with their Captain Jacobo.  This Dorado weighed-in at 35lbs!  A nice catch specially after the all the trouble this fish gave them.

The had the fish up to the boat, fish took off as soon as he saw the boat, after the third time of this fish comes under the boat, wraps around the engine a couple of times, and thanks to captain Jacobo manage to get it free from the prop and sink the gaff in it.

Thirty Five Years Waiting! June 21,2012

For thirty five years Sam Calavitta dreamed of fishing here in the Sea of Cortez.  That dream came true for him and he was able to bring 2 of his 9 children with him, Gino and Antonio.  They had three great days of fishing and family bonding. 

JUNE 20/2012 CLEAR WATERS

Finally, after few weeks of mirky conditions  the water is clear again. Ermanno ( visiting from Italy ) and our spearfishing pro Toto, have taken full advantage of the improved visibility and had a few days of fun. God catches, different species made very fine mix bags. Pargos, cabrillas , mulatos pargos, yellow pargos are now coming back to shores while dorados and Marlins will be the possible catches for offshore angler. We are waiting for you.

Lamberto, one of the Baja Mosquito Fleet Boat Captains, showed James Gregory where the Dorado are!  They had a good day of angling, rod bending action!

June 11, 2012 Dorado

The seas where flat, very little wind makes for a great day of angling adventures.  Richard Yang and his group had a great day of rod bending action with a nice catch of Dorado.  They did hook many; but, they lost some nice size ones.  Also saw many Marlin jumping!

JUNE 1 2012 ITALIAN CREW

Ermanno and Toto have been fishing together for long time back in Italy when they where young. Now, riunited in La Paz they still show to be very effective fishing partners. The water conditions are challenging tough the temperature switchs and high cril concentration tipical of the season , but it was still possible to catch some great specimen. In difficult times it is extremely important to rely on good guiding and this is just one of many reason you should fish with us; we are waiting for all fishermen that want to test themself in some exciting days out.

Mirky water made things a little more challenging than usual but Ermanno was still able to harvest a very interesting mix bag: cabrilla, pargo and striped pargo are king captures in these water and he got them all.
