20 sept. 2012 VERY WARM WATER

The very high water temperature ( warmer than last years) pushes the bottom fishes down to deeper gounds creating challenging conditions for the spearfisherman.

Fine captures are possible but targeting bigger preys  in 60 to 80 ft bottoms requieres all your determination.

07 september 2012 Texas style

Louis from Texas went out today for an intermediate spearfishing class with Toto.

The conditions were great with warm and transparent water. The all day class took place in a shallow to medium depth rocky ground with excellent results.
Medium size pargos and big parrot fish will be the main course of dinner for Louis family tonight.

When the cooler on your boat it's just big enough to contain your catch it means you did well!
Big pargos( like this one in the 60 lb category) are starting to show at 60 to 80 ft. depth range, get ready for the most exciting hunt of your life! Toto is going to buy a bigger cooler, just in case.

The water , that has been unseasonably mirky lately, has definetly started chancing to a decent trasparancy . This gives spearos plenty of oportunities to some outstanding target chances in the rocky bottoms around Spiritu Santo island. In this season catching a great fish is not easy but definetly possible how shown here by our spearfishing professional Toto . We will bring you on the right spot, than it is apt to you to show how well you can do!

In summer there is a short window of opportunity every now and than to cross to the pacific side and find that the usual huge waves pounding the shores are giving a chance to go out and take full advantage of the big groupers season. Toto an Carlos took that chance and were able to produce some fine specimens not without some seriuos fight.That is the magic of spearfishing.
